Tata Motors has extended its Dark Edition range to include the Curvv SUV-Coupe. Priced between ₹16.49 lakh and ₹19.52 lakh, ex-showroom, the Tata Curvv Dark Edition is currently available only on the ICE models and in the Accomplished S and Accomplished + A trims. Mechanically unchanged, the Curvv Dark Edition benefits from the new Carbon Black paint, an all-black treatment for various elements, including the wheels, and similar changes inside. Both direct-injection turbo-petrol and diesel engines are available, and they can be specced with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed automatic unit.

Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line now available in India

VW has launched the flagship Tiguan R-Line SUV in the Indian market at an introductory price of Rs 49 lakh, ex-showroom. The completely built-up SUV’s deliveries will begin from April 23. The above-mentioned price also includes four years of warranty and roadside assistance, and three years of free service, says the company.

Powering the Tiguan R-Line is a 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine which makes 201 bhp and 32.48 kg-m. The SUV gets a 4MOTION AWD system as part of the standard equipment along with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. In terms of features, the Tiguan R-Line comes with Level-2 ADAS, massaging seats at the front, and a 15-inch touchscreen system, among others.

Judged by a panel of 96 judges from 30 countries, the WCOTY title can only be given to a car with volumes of at least 10,000 units every year, priced below luxury cars in the respective markets, and on sale in at least two major markets on two separate continents between January of the preceding year and March of the current year.
