Air India and IndiGo are operating extra flights to Kathmandu to fly home passengers who were stuck due to airport closure on Tuesday.
“With the opening of the airport operation in Kathmandu, the Civil Aviation Ministry, in co-ordination with Air India and IndiGo, has arranged additional flights this evening and over the next few days, alongside scheduled services resuming tomorrow. Airlines have been advised to keep their fares within reasonable levels. We remain committed to supporting our passengers while ensuring their safe travel during this time,” Civil Aviation Minister Ram Naidu Kinjarapu said in a X post.
Air India said its scheduled operations will also resume from tomorrow.
